Champions don't compete like ordinary athletes because they don't train like ordinary athletes...When they perform, they DOMINATE.

Our training is known to be unorthodox, designed specifically to develop the performance and attitude of a champion through specialized mental and physical training. Our program provides specialized training equipment, designed to rip athletic potential wide open and create athletes who outperform others on and off the field.

EPIC is not a gym or just a physical training program.  EPIC is comprehensive athletic training and education specific to athletes with promise who intend to compete seriously or make athletics a career.

EPIC students are their teams' starters, their first-stringers and team captains.  They are the leaders in their sports because they have been taught how to demand more from themselves than just finishing first.

EPIC is an elite athletic training program producing athletes who are better conditioned, more explosive, more focused and more competitive overall.  EPIC's founders developed programs to build champions based on their lifetime experience in athletics and training. They've developed EPIC's programs to stray from traditional training by design.  Our training has been proven effective by the athletes we train.

Become a Champion, Ignite Your Career!

History's champions have left their legacy as leaders both on and off the field

The greatest, most celebrated champions in the world have been recognized not only for their superior performance on the field, but off.
EPIC students maintain the highest level of excellence not only in their ability to perform athletically, but academically, mentally and spiritually.

EPIC TRAINING unlocks the passion to perform at an athlete's top capacity—both on the field and off.  EPIC students are the starters in their team sports, top-performers in their classrooms and leaders in their communities.  Because being a champion means so much more than performance on the field, athletes who don't meet exceptional standards across these dimensions are not invited to participate in EPIC programs.  EPIC athletes demand more of themselves and give equal amounts back.

Training Program Enrolment

EPIC students are expected to maintain the highest standards of performance in all dimensions of their life at all times. This includes adherence to their youth, scholastic or other team training sessions, maintaining top scholastic performance, and demonstrating positive value as a member in their community.

We create champions. Champions are defined by their top performance both on and off the field, by their superior athletic performance and integrity. To this end, EPIC TRAINING does not accept students who do not commit to these standards.

Outperforming in athletics is not about a harder workout, it's a mindset that starts at the very core of the athlete. EPIC TRAINING programs were designed specifically to nurture the mindset and performance of a CHAMPION.

Acceptance into EPIC TRAINING programs is dependent on the athlete's desire and aptitude to become a better athlete and to develop the habits, skills and thinking of a champion.

“The will to WIN comes from the knowledge that you CAN!”

Bringing years of training and coaching experience to Sudbury Coach Larocque is known for bringing out the best in his athletes. Jean-Gilles started his venture in training and coaching during the fall of 1998 when he attended North Lake College in Irvin, Texas from there his pursuit took him to Paris, Texas, California State University Chico, in Chico California and then to West Virginia State University. Once he received his Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education he pursued coaching and training the Staunton Braves in Virginia.

Jean-Gilles then decided to return to Sudbury to become a teacher in 2002. Since then he has been developing new and exciting ways to train athletes. Working closely with SPARQ trainer and owner of EPIC TRAINING SYSTEMS Marc Messier, coach Larocque has brought training in Sudbury to a new level. As Strength and Conditioning coach for the Nickle City Sons “AAA” Bantam team as well as the Valley East Rebels Major Atoms, Coach Larocque has helped both teams reach new heights in hockey performance. As an active member of the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association), Jean-Gilles has helped athletes take their game to the next level.

“We did not play a team this year that was in better shape than us” Coach Rod MacKenzie (Nickle City Sons).
